Welcome to the Skeptic's LDS Wiki.
The goal of this wiki is to be a comprehensive place for a skeptical view of the LDS church, also know as Mormonism. Some would call the information here "anti-mormon", and to a certain extent that's accurate. However, the administrators of this site expect to everyone who submits material here to focus on facts, not interpretation, and support their contributions with reliable sources. Interpretations are welcome of course, just please make it clear that they are interpretations.
Unlike many other criticisms of the LDS Church, the administrators intend this wiki to only point out criticisms in LDS teachings, not to promote any particular alternative to the LDS Church. For example, comparing LDS teaching to other forms of Christianity is acceptable. Comparing LDS teachings and the LDS concept of truth restored from heaven with ancient historical records of Christian teachings is acceptable. Criticisms of LDS teaching based solely on conflicts with any particular interpretation of Christianity is not. This wiki has one purpose: to present information on Joseph Smith, his life, work, and the several churches that grew out of his work, and to present critical information on these things. Information that fits with that purpose is welcome here. Things that do not support that purpose do not belong here, be they good, bad, or neutral.
